18 March 1956 - São Paulo's Teatro Experimental do Negro presents 'João Sem Terra' at Teatro Novos Comediantes on Rua Jaceguai, 520.
27 March 1956 - See Jacira Sampaio (1922-1998) in the cast. She would become really popular as Tia Anastácia at TV Globo's 'Sitio do pica-pau amarelo', based on Monteiro Lobato's book. 
15 April 1956 -
22nd April 1956 - a song-and-dance extravaganza with many Black people involved, 'Brasiliana' was a high-profile enterprise.

16 April 1958 - Belo Horizonte's Diario de Minas interviews José Prates, the musician behind 'Brasiliana'. 
29 April 1956 - daily 'O Estado de S.Paulo' article about the presence of the Brazilian Black people in theatre. Unfortunately the print is not good and the content itself isn't either.
